What is the Deposit Timer?
CCP has given us the tools to allow automated deposits for all accounts on the WinYourFortune website. However, these tools are in use by many other characters, corporations, and websites, and as such are available on a limited basis. In this case, we are only able to pull new data from the tools provided by CCP about once per 30 minutes.
What does this mean?
About every 30 minutes, we pull new information provided by the CCP tools. This information allows us to update each account on WinYourFortune with their associated deposits to the Fortune Gaming corporation in game.
What about server maintenance/downtime?
In the event we are not able to automatically pull data from the EVE servers, we will periodically retry until the data retrieval is successful. As soon as it is possible to get the data, your account will be updated with any pending deposits.
"Updating Now" - What does it really mean?
When a data retrieval is ready to proceed, the timer displayed in the header bar on the WinYourFortune website will display the "Updating Now" indicator. In most cases, this process takes around 2 minutes. In the event of server maintenance or downtime, this message will last until a successful update is completed.
But I don't want to wait!
If you don't want to wait for your deposit to update automatically on the site, you can contact any of our representatives in the Fortune Gaming chat channel in EVE, and they will be able to "pre-auth" the deposit on your account, allowing you to use your funds immediately.
